HSE Policy / Environmental Objectives
The objectives of Environmental Management are as follows:
- To ensure sustainable compliance with legislation and Environmental Policy;
- To achieve, enhance and demonstrate sound environmental performance built around the principle of continual performance improvement;
- To ensure that all hazards and effects are formally identified and assessed in a structured manner, and practical cost-effective control measures are identified and implemented;
- To put an emphasis on elimination and prevention of environment hazards and effects rather than on corrective actions;
- To integrate environmental considerations into the management of all activities;
- To rationalize and streamline environmental activities throughout the working process to add value and efficiency;
- To establish the standards for environmental planning, operation, audit and review;
- To enable the company’s management to establish environmental priorities.
Specific local objectives will vary from activity to activity and depend upon the circumstances related to the activities and characteristics of the particular environment. The Divisional/Functional Management Team should review their own objectives to assess the level of objectives required for their operation.
